He touches on a lot of the same things as Michael Pollan, one of my favorite food writers. "The Omnivore's Dilemma" was a fantastic book. "In Defense of Food" was good, too. I've been wanting to read some Wendell Berry for some time now, but haven't gotten around to it. Good stuff. It was indestructible. The front fenders rotted along the body line so that to open the hood ( reverse style like a Brit roadster) we had to hold the fenders UNDER the hood and slam the hood on it, then get in through the passenger door, cause the drivers door was roped shut.
